Being a former Phish Head – yet lightyears removed from that incarnation of myself – I find the Halloween “covers” that Phish does to be so interesting. During my teenage years, Phish covers of such classic albums as the Velvet Underground’s Loaded, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, The Who’s Quadrophenia – opened my ears and heart to new music – which, ironically, pulled me away from Phish and the jam band genre in general.

Music is still very much at the heart of my soul and, reading this article, just takes me back to my youthful days….
